EMEA Access, a new international business leasing company for aerial work machinery, has been established with the goal of providing long-term leasing services to existing leasing companies in Europe and selling used equipment in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.
The company was founded by Gerard Jennings, CEO of UK-based Hire Safe Solutions, and Edwin van der Laar, who previously worked for Xugong Europe. Edwin van der Laar has also worked at Power Towers and Zoomlion.
The newly established company, EMEA Access, will focus on the rental of large MEWPs as well as the sale of high quality used and refurbished lifts in a variety of working height ranges.
"EMEA Access understands the unique needs of leasing companies and the challenges they face in maintaining a large and diverse fleet of high-altitude platforms. The new company offers long-term lease agreements for various aerial work platforms to other leasing companies, allowing them to expand their inventory without the huge up-front investment required for large aerial equipment.
Co-founder and Managing Director Edwin van der Laar says long-term rentals are available to companies across the continent, while used mobile lifting work platforms and telescopic fork units are sold throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "We are excited to bring EMEA Access to the market. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with leasing companies throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, providing a true 'X factor'. That means we offer a variety of Xcess equipment, including off-the-wall machines that not every rental company has in their fleet. Such as very large jib aerial work platforms, giant off-road shear forks and heavy telescopic arm forklifts, including the largest aerial work equipment in the EMEA region."
Van der Laar adds: "Another unique feature of our business model is that we only rent to our leasing partners and not to end users, so we keep a clear line and avoid conflicts of interest. Our goal is to support leasing companies to grow their business without the financial burden of purchasing new equipment, and our long-term leasing solutions are designed to meet their needs and help them succeed."
The equipment will be provided by the ever-expanding Hire Safe Solutions company, including the 37m JCPT3730HRT, currently the world's tallest shearfork aerial work platform, which was reported in yesterday's high altitude Mechanical engineering headlines, and the recently purchased 70m arm vehicle XGS70K.
In addition to the rental business, EMEA Access also offers a variety of used aerial work platforms for sale. The company says each unit is rigorously inspected and refurbished to ensure it meets the highest standards of safety and performance. The idea is to provide customers with affordable, reliable equipment that can be instantly integrated into their operations.
