The engine is the most important part of the aerial work platform, which provides power for the walking and functional operations of the equipment, affecting the power, economy and environmental protection of the aerial work platform. Once the engine fails, the performance of the equipment cannot be played, or even cannot run at all. Therefore, maintaining the engine is the most important task in daily maintenance and periodic maintenance.

         This paper mainly introduces seven routine maintenance steps and precautions for DEUTZ oil-cooled diesel engines.

Step 1: Check whether connection fasteners such as engine frame bolts and attachment bolts are tight and normal

Step 2: According to the engine maintenance plan, determine whether the engine needs periodic maintenance

Step 3: Check whether the diesel crude filter of the engine is clean (the diesel model depends on the temperature of the engine)

Step 4: Check the oil level of the engine, whether it is between the standard scale and no impurities (the choice of oil please refer to the brand and model recommended by the DEUTE manufacturer)

Step 5: Check the air filter element of the engine, whether it is clean and clean and no blockage

Step six: Check whether the engine coolant level reaches the standard level and is free of impurities

Step seven: Check whether the tightness of the engine triangle belt is normal

Step eight: Start the engine to see if there is oil leakage, no noise, no smoke abnormalities and other phenomena

1) When the engine fails, please contact the aerial work platform manufacturer for maintenance

2) After the engine is cooled, the engine can be routinely maintained

3) It is forbidden to check the coolant and oil level during the heat engine to prevent liquid splashing and scalding
